Six months later, aged 18, he beat over 600 contestants to become the youngest ever comedian to reach the final of the prestigious Laughing Horse New Act competition for which he finished runner up. In addition, he battled his way through a tense two night London competition to secure a place on the Pleasance Comedy Reserve. Whilst at the Fringe, he reached the final of Channel 5's So You Think You're Funny? and was crowned the youngest ever Winner of The Amused Moose New Act of the Year, leading Time Out to pinpoint him as "a rising star."
