Chris Roebuck is Visiting Professor of Transformational Leadership at Cass Business School, London. From 2002-2006 Chris was Global Head of Leadership at UBS. During this period the bank won Best Company for Leaders in Europe 2005, and Best New Global Leadership Academy at the Best Practice and Excellence Awards. During this period the market capitalisation of the bank rose by 15% and the project is now a Harvard Business School Case Study on transforming organisational performance and delivering results.
In 2011 he was appointed Head of the Organisational Development and Transformation Division of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and leads Culture and Engagement for the Tri Borough Project. This is the biggest ever Local Government merger of services and restructuring in UK with the Boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster to save overhead costs of 50%.
Chris is also currently developing on a case study with Aston Martin on delivering excellent customer service through entrepreneurial employee engagement which will be completed in 2012.
Chris was nominated in 2011 by HR Magazine as one of the top 25 most influential HR thinkers and has judged a number of HR and leadership awards. He advises professional and thought leadership bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Corporate Leadership Council, and the Financial Times Non-Executive Director NED Club. He is a Founder member of the HR Business Network, a group of more than 2000 HR professionals across Europe.
Chris has authored several books, including Effective Leadership and Effective Communication that have been translated into 11 different languages. He has new books due for publication in 2012.
Chris creates new strategies to help organisations maximise their performance through people, measure the quality of their leadership, and develop talent management for the future.
