Scott Quinnell is a former Welsh international rugby league and rugby union legend. He toured twice with the British and Irish Lions, firstly to South Africa in 1997 and then to Australia in 2001, where he played all three test matches and scored a try in the Lions' first test victory.
He captained Wales seven times and won over 50 caps for Wales. Since retirement, Scott has become a key member of the Sky Sports rugby analyst team and also co-presents the popular reality show, The School of Hard Knocks, which explores the life changing the potential of sport. He is an ambassador for The People's Postcode Lottery.
His severe and undiagnosed dyslexia (diagnosed when he was 30) caused him to drop out of school, and he gives rugby the credit for providing the discipline and direction he so badly needed. He now delivers exceptional and motivational speeches on the subject. What is more, he is the development director of Dore, which is a drug-free treatment programme for Dyslexia and other learning difficulties. As a role model for people with learning difficulties, he dedicates a huge amount of time to visiting schools and prisons, and to spreading the message that no-one need give up on themselves.
As a globally recognised rugby legend with an infectious sense of humour, Scott can apply his talents to a diverse range of activities. As a speaker he is both insightful and inspirational, drawing upon experience in both his private life and the world of rugby to entertain and inform in equal measure.
